I am new in the blogging business, the first thing I do is to post to hosted blogs, wordpress based blogs are obvious and easy choice for me, as we all know that WordPress is ideal for almost all kinds of blogging needs, people even use it as CMS, with the fact that its licensed under GPL make the WordPress the most famous and versatile blogging software of all time.
Then I found out that I probably should build blogs myself, afterwards I can use the already built blogs to promote whatever I want, of course this is not a new idea, all kinds of blog networks are out there for the exact purpose, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, in addition there is no way I can post to them, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.
Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you want values for your blogs,to write interesting content is always time consuming, a successful blog needs a lot of hard work. Check out a couple of interesting blogs, look at this one, Beer Mug, the domain name is pretty good, the content on the site is not bad, though its not a theme focused blog, there are all kinds of posts on the site. Here is another one, Dog Lead, this one has main theme, the content on the this site has a theme, quite a few keywords rank well for this site. there are more sites like these out there, but I think you understand the basics now. Here is one last note, in your little net you should have some loose blogs, put some random content on those blogs occasionally, take one blog as example, sell domains, doing this right you will have a natural blogging networks.
When you already have a few interesting blogs, add more blogs when you can, the old blogs will be helpful in promoting your newly built ones, this is the way to build your own blogging network. It sounds pretty simple, but the real stuff will be more complicated, one of the most important things is that don’t get your site black listed by major search engines.
