Recently I am trying to use blogs to promote my business websites, most of the blogs I am working on are wordpress based, as we all know that WordPress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, with the GPL liberal license make the WordPress the fastest growing blogging platform ever.
Lately I figured that I should build my own blogs and promote them, then I can use established and fully owned blogs to advertise other websites, and I think its not a patentable idea, all kinds of blog networks are out there for the exact purpose, but those are not my own sites and I don’t have control, in addition there is no way I can post to them, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.
If you have tried to maintain a few different blogs you will know its not easy, if you’re not using your blogs as spamming device, to write interesting content is always time consuming, its never easy to build successful blogs. Check out a couple of interesting blogs, look at this one, kids clothing, it has a nice name, the content on the site is not bad, without a clear theme, there are all kinds of posts on the site. Here is another one, Pet Toys, this one has main theme, the content on the this site has a theme, there are a few well ranked keywords for this blog. Its easy to show more similar sites, though I guess you get the point already. Here is one last note, in your little net you should have some loose blogs, do some casual postings randomly, just like this blog, Cable and Chain Come Along, this will make a blog network more like naturally built blog groups.
After you successfully build a few blogs, add more blogs when you can, then use the established blogs to promote the new ones, this is the way to build your own blogging network. It sounds pretty simple, but to build a successful network will be much more complicated, there’s one thing you do have to keep in your mind is that don’t ruin your hard work just because you want to cut a few corners.
